Monumental Renaissance mansion in the Naples historical center

Description

Palazzo Marigliano was built in Naples in the early 1500s by Bartolomeo Di Capua and is the finest example of Renaissance architecture existing in the Naples historical center. Di Capua built his lavish "court house" including stables and ornamental gardens. The Di Capua palace remained in the family's ownership until the end of the 1700s and its original layout has, in fact, been preserved. The apartment on the second floor is the most significant residence in the palace. Over 500 square meters in area with grand halls adorned with frescoed ceilings and Renaissance decorations. The large main hall leads to a spacious level terrace overlooking an intimate garden from which the structural features of the ancient building can be appreciated. The formal area is completed with a private office overlooking the palace's historic courtyard and a chapel, the authentic centerpiece of the mansion. Two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a guest bathroom, and a spacious kitchen complete this superb property.
